DAVE ELDER
SUNDAYS 1PM – 5PM
Dave Elder is the Program Director and on-air personality on 97.7 WCTY. One of the longest afternoon drive shows in Connecticut.
I’ve been with WCTY since June of 1993!
I have also worked on WICH, WNLC, WKNL and before working for Hall Communications, Dave was the Program Director at WSUB in Groton and worked part-time on WQGN.
This is where I am from! Born in New London and have lived all over Eastern Connecticut, I went to Norwich Regional Technical School and the CT School of Broadcasting.
I love Country music. A lot of the new artists like Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion. But, I am a huge George Strait and Dierks Bentley fan and you’ll see me at a lot of the concerts! I also like some pop music… Bruno Mars and Pink and also like standards from Sinatra and Michael Buble!
People never knew that I once sold shoes before I worked in radio. This is much better, I don’t have to deal with anyone’s feet! Dave is a huge New York Yankees fan, cheers on the Washington Redskins and loves wine! Cheers! J
Dave is married and has a son and is actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce and Cornerstone Church, Little League as well as, MADD, TVCCA and other non-profit organizations.
